Thanks. And thank you for all your help, it's been worth a lot to my family and me. I really enjoyed the trip and thought the visits went very well. The schools we looked at were pretty awesome so even if everything works out right, it's going to be a tough decision. I know it's not over yet but I can't thank you enough for all your help thus far.

Arizona Cross Country

Hey Tom,

Just wanted to let you know that I decided on Arizona. The cross country coach at UW wasn't returning my phone calls so I just decided to forget about it. I think I would have chosen Arizona over UW anyway, even if I did have offers from both schools. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for all your help. You really made things a lot less stressful, and had you not called Coach Li, Arizona wouldn’t have even been an option for me.

Duke Track

Hey Tom,

I received my admissions letter from Duke yesterday- I got in!! I'm so excited and I wanted to share the good news with you. I also know this means retracting all of the other applications I sent off, contacting all the other coaches, as well as contacting Coach Jermyn of Duke. I'll be sure to do that soon, seeing as how I'm on Christmas break now and I have my surgery tomorrow so I will have plenty of free time! I also wanted to thank you for all your help with this whole process; the advice you have given me has been so valuable and I couldn't have done any of it without you. I know the ultimate goal was to get me recruited and signed, but I know that Duke is place for me athletically AND academically, so hopefully I can rehab my knee and try to walk-on. Thanks again and I hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday with your family.

I have been gone most of the weekend and wanted to take my time writing to you.
I was notified on Friday that I have been admitted to Rice as a member of the class of 2011!!

I really want to thank you for all the help you gave me. At times it seemed like a lot of work but it was worth it. You made it easy to ask questions and I always felt comfortable with your advice. I know you work with a lot of kids but I always felt like you were there to help me at any time. I appreciate all your time and hard work.

Women’s Volleyball

Tom Chandler really helped me discover some great schools I would not otherwise have known about. His interest in my college experience really showed he cared more about my happiness after I got to the school and not just about getting me recruited. Without his help, I would not have been able to get a full ride and I would probably be attending a local community college and needing to get a full-time job. Because of his help, volleyball now is my job and I love it!
